Jamin goes 3-for-4 in London Win
|
London third baseman Mike Jamin helped his team beat the White Deer Tropics, 9-5. Jamin, who is tied for 8th in the S-A in runs scored with 38, went 3 for 4 for the Werewolves. Rick Hill, the winning pitcher, is now 4-1. He went 8.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 0. Kevin Farris earned the save for London.
London won the game in part because of Kenny Myers. The designated hitter ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Werewolves ahead, 8-1. For the game, Myers had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Myers told the London Daily News.
The 4th-place Tropics have dropped 4 straight games.
