Partons Get Clutch Win Versus Kalamazoo
The Kalamazoo Comets got a superb performance from pitcher Alex Gonzales. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Dollywood. The Partons won the game, 2-1. Gonzales threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. With the win, the Partons hiked their record to 38-9.

Dollywood used the timely hitting of Chris Pierson to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Partons on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Pierson said after the game.
