Breene Leads Charge, Pueblo Blasts Sweepers
The Pueblo Heroes met little resistance from the Nashua Sweepers, beating them, 13-0, at Heroes Ballpark. Eric Breene led the way. He went 3-5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for Pueblo. Pueblo reliever John Wilgus snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Nate Kreps shouldered the loss. Pueblo has now won 5 straight.

Breene had a key at-bat for Pueblo in the bottom of the first. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Pueblo an early 2-0 lead.

"Not my idea of a good time," Nashua manager Tony Allen said, when asked afterward about the game.
