Tight Tilt Goes to Partons, 3-2
|
The Dollywood Partons got a marvelous performance from pitcher Sean Hill. The right-hander kept the Kalamazoo offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 3-2 Dollywood victory at Wizards Stadium. Hill yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 5-0. With the victory, the Partons record stands at 35-8.
Dollywood used a big swing from Justin Hunt to get the win. The designated hitter walloped a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Partons up, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.
"I was a little disappointed," said Kalamazoo manager Morgan Van Dyke. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
