Columbus Triumphs with Late Surge
Jon Aranda was instrumental in his team's 9-3 triumph over the London Werewolves. The pinch hitter was 2-2 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Columbus Bowsers. Columbus reliever Brent Conway got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Micah Smith was tagged with the loss. Columbus now sits at 24-16, while London falls to 22-18.

The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Yoneo Yamamoto came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing London pitcher Brian Bauer, he hit a first pitch changeup for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Columbus on top, 4-3.

"I still think this team can play even better," Aranda told the Columbus Today.
