The Mexico City Aztecs got a good effort from starter Jesse Aggas in defeating the Bangor Lumberjacks at Ballpark of Bangor. The final score was 3-0. Aggas, now 3-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing no runs. Hunter Saakadze closed it out for his 9th save.

Mexico City used a clutch at-bat from Tony Thomas to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Aztecs ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Thomas.

The second-place Aztecs have won 11 consecutive games.
