Lake Elsinore Picks Up Another L

The Nashua Sweepers used a great performance from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Daniel Williams to beat the Lake Elsinore Storm, 3-1, at Dust Devils Ballpark. Williams picked up the win for Nashua, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. Glen Foster earned the save for Nashua.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Eric Hunter? The Nashua shortstop had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Sweepers on top, 2-1. For the game, Hunter had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Williams. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
Now 6-33, Lake Elsinore has lost 10 in a row.
