Down to Defeat Goes Barrie, 5-2

The first-place Mexico City Aztecs picked up another win.
Mexico City got a strong outing from Marco Montes as the Aztecs defeated the Barrie Admirals, 5-2, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Montes picked up the win for Mexico City, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-2. The save was credited to Ken Griffey, his 6th.
The Aztecs got a big at-bat from catcher Roland Clement. For the game, Clement was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Mexico City a 4-2 lead.
