Matthews Now 3-2 After Beating Comets
|
Marty Matthews never let the Comets get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Admirals to a win, 5-1. The second-place Admirals have won 4 in a row.
Matthews was dominant for Barrie. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts. He threw 99 pitches over 7 innings in the contest.
