Aggies Deal Lumberjacks 4-2 Defeat
|
The Atlanta Aggies faced a tough opponent in Bangor pitcher David Fadely, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Ballpark of Bangor by a final score of 4-2. Fadely went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Jim Unknown nailed down the save. The Aggies now have a record of 10-24.
Atlanta used a well-timed hit by Carlos Velasco to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Aggies ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Velasco told a Atlanta Herald reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
