Lumberjacks Make Losers of Admirals
|
The Bangor Lumberjacks got a stellar performance from pitcher Tom Donnelly, who handcuffed the Barrie offense en route to a win, 3-1, at Ballpark of Bangor. Steve Ray finished the game for Bangor and earned his 11th save. With the win, the Lumberjacks have a record of 14-18.
The Lumberjacks took the lead, 3-0, in the bottom of the second inning. Facing Barrie hurler Tommy Daniello with two outs, John Jimenez hit a 2-run single.
Donnelly was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Bangor Times, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
