Batdorf goes 3-for-3 in Werewolves Win
|
The London Werewolves defeated the Dollywood Partons, 3-0, at Werewolves Ballpark. Leading the charge for London was center fielder Matt Batdorf. He went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Frank Rivera. He's now 2-3. He went 5.2 innings, allowing no runs on 5 hits for the Werewolves. Miguel de Leon was credited with the save for London, his 1st of the season.
London took a 3-0 lead on Batdorf's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which he hit off Jonathan Powell in the bottom of the eighth, propelled London to the win.
"Clutch hitting plus clutch pitching usually equals a win," said Batdorf.
The Werewolves raised their record to 14-17.
