Kalamazoo got a strong outing from Jim Unknown as the Comets defeated the Poplar Bluff Hillbillies, 3-2, at Wizards Stadium. The win for the Comets raised their record to 16-13.

The Comets got a clutch hit from shortstop Brian LaFollett. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Comets.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Unknown said.
