Dust Devils Ballpark was the site for Southern A action featuring the Lake Elsinore Storm and Bangor Lumberjacks.

Bangor third baseman Mark Brown contributed significantly to his team's 8-6 win over the Lake Elsinore Storm. Brown, who is tied for 9th in the S-A in triples with 1, went 3 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Lumberjacks. Mike Lopez, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.2 innings.

John Jimenez came through with a big-time hit for Bangor. The designated hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 8-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Jimenez.

With the loss, Lake Elsinore drops to 3-24.
