The Nashua Sweepers overcame a pretty good performance by Columbus first baseman Tanner Brown, beating the Bowsers, 5-4, at Miller Park. Brown hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Reliever Glen Foster picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Luis de la Piedra took the loss. The win takes Nashua to 15-13.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the ninth. With Nashua trailing 4-3, Ben Pendergrass delivered the decisive blow, stroking a fastball from Luis de la Piedra for a 2-run home run. Ballgame.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Nashua manager Steve Reid. "It's usually not just one thing."
