Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Dollywood Partons and Kalamazoo Comets.

Miguel Flores imposed his will on the Comets from the get-go. Relying mainly on his fastball, the left-hander spearheaded the 2-1 Dollywood triumph. Flores yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 4-0. Vince Isabella nailed down his 8th save.

Early in the game, catcher J.D. Gordon had a 2-run home run for Dollywood. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Partons on top, 2-0.
