The umbrellas came out during the Columbus-Weedpatch contest at Ballpark of Columbus.

The Columbus Bowsers bested the Weedpatch Widowmakers, 6-2, at Ballpark of Columbus. Dennis Brent was one of the standouts. He was 1-2 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Columbus reliever Graham Mercer was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-1. Moises Tellez took the loss for Weedpatch.

With Columbus trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Brent hit a fastball from Moises Tellez for a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Bowsers ahead, 3-2.

"Whenever I help the team," said Brent, "it sort of justifies my place on the roster."

The Widowmakers, 10-15, continue their poor start to the 2022 campaign.
