Dollywood starter Andy Yule pitched well against the Columbus Bowsers at Dolly Parton Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-2. Yule got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.2 innings. He allowed no runs. For the Bowsers, the loss makes them 6-12.
The Partons got a big hit from third baseman Matt Dean. Facing Columbus pitcher Joe Knoop in the bottom of the sixth, Dean pounded a 2-run home run to right. His 4th home run of the season put the Partons ahead, 3-0.
"Andy is still learning," said Partons manager Adam Freeman. "The sky's the limit for him."
