Admirals Fall Short, 6-5, at Bangor

Both teams had their chances, but the Bangor Lumberjacks eventually prevailed.
The Bangor Lumberjacks beat the Barrie Admirals, 6-5, at Ballpark of Bangor. Bangor right fielder John Jimenez had an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 3 walks. Bangor has a record of 8-12.
The Lumberjacks got a big hit from center fielder Juan Jasso. In the bottom of the sixth, Jasso smacked a bases-clearing double off Barrie pitcher Victor Martinez. It was his 2nd double of the season. Suddenly, the Lumberjacks were ahead, 5-3.
Bangor manager Shawn Banks was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
