Bangor Wins 6-0 to Continue Red-Hot Start
|
The Bangor Lumberjacks got a rain-soaked win over the Columbus Bowsers.
Bangor picked up a win at Ballpark of Columbus, bumping off the Columbus Bowsers, 6-0. Pitcher Paul Williamson was a major reason the Lumberjacks emerged victorious. Now 2-14, the 2021 Bowsers have played a subpar brand of baseball so far.
Bangor used a clutch at-bat from Chris Mosley to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Lumberjacks ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Bangor manager David Whigham.
