Lumberjacks Earn 3-1 Home Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Bangor Lumberjacks and the Kalamazoo Comets, 25-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Loera was the difference-maker. The Bangor right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The Comets fall to 6-10 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2025 season.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Lumberjacks had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when third baseman Mark Brown hit a 2-run single. The single came off Mike Gunter and made the score 2-0, Lumberjacks. Brown was 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
Loera called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
