Werewolves Knock Off Tropics at Werewolves Ballpark
|
London pitcher Miguel Perez had a large part in his team subduing the White Deer Tropics, 8-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Losses have been rare for the Tropics, who are now 12-5.
Matt Batdorf had a big 2-run home run for the Werewolves in the bottom of the second inning. With London leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Dustin Mitchell and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Werewolves on top, 4-0.
"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Brendan Rees.
