The Dollywood Partons just keep winning.

Dollywood pitcher Gilberto Cortez did his part in helping his team defeat the Nashua Sweepers, 6-0. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. In 7.1 innings, Cortez surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 0. He allowed no runs.

Dollywood used the clutch hitting of Edward Miller to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Partons ahead, 6-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Dollywood manager Adam Freeman.

Nashua, with the loss, is 8-7.
