Kalamazoo Absorbs 5-2 Loss to Dollywood

Dollywood got a strong outing from Jim Savoie as the Partons defeated the Kalamazoo Comets, 5-2, at Dolly Parton Ballpark. The winner was Savoie. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Jim Unknown. Kyle Julias finished the game for Dollywood and earned his 5th save.
Dollywood got a lift in the bottom of the third from designated hitter Chris McCarty, who hit a curveball to right for a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season put the Partons up, 4-2.
McCarty attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
