Lumberjacks Lose By a Run at Pueblo
The Pueblo Heroes racked up a win at Heroes Ballpark, bumping off the Bangor Lumberjacks, 4-3. Wes Gordon, who started for Pueblo, pitched effectively for his team. Pueblo reliever Mike Custer picked up the win to move to 2-0. Danny Barnett suffered the loss. With the win, Pueblo boosts its record to 6-8.

Had Jose Raygoza not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Raygoza hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Heroes.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Gordon. "Just do my job."
