The Bangor Lumberjacks dumped the Columbus Bowsers, 5-1, in large part due to shortstop Casey Lamb. On the day, Lamb belted 2 home runs for the Lumberjacks. Bangor reliever Pat Furphy was credited with the win. His record goes to 3-1. Carlos del Valle took the loss for Columbus. Tim Suttle earned the save for Bangor, his 1st of the year.

The Lumberjacks got a big at-bat from third baseman Mark Brown. For the game, Brown was 1 for 4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Bangor a 2-0 lead.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bangor manager Shawn Banks.

The loss puts Columbus at 5-5.
