Aztecs Drop Werewolves, 2-1

Tony Gwynn Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.
The Mexico City Aztecs downed the London Werewolves, 2-1, at Tony Gwynn Stadium. Stellar pitching by Jamie Green had a lot to do with it. The right-hander handcuffed his opponent all game. Green, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Hunter Saakadze was credited with the save for Mexico City, his 3rd of the season.
David Keith drew 3 walks in 4 plate appearances for Mexico City. The 21-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Oscar Flores. It was his 6th walk of the season.
Keith called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
With the win, Mexico City goes to 4-4.
