Loss Tarnishes Fine Performance by Millet
|
White Deer got a terrific performance from pitcher Brian Millet, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mexico City Aztecs. Mexico City won the Ballpark of White Deer contest, 3-0. Millet threw 7.1 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Adam Brittain closed it out for Mexico City, earning his 2nd save. White Deer now has a record of 8-2.
Millet pitched a businesslike game for White Deer, surrendering no runs on 2 hits in 7.1 innings, while striking out 11. It was not enough, though, to get his team a win.
