Aggies Victorious at Columbus, 5-4

The Atlanta Aggies turned back the Columbus Bowsers, 5-4, at Ballpark of Columbus. Ronnie Riemenschneider, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Atlanta reliever Omar Lopez snagged the win, upping his record to 1-0. Nate Rivas shouldered the loss. Picking up his 1st save was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Jim Unknown.
With Atlanta leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Riemenschneider hit a slider from Nate Rivas for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Aggies ahead, 3-0.
Atlanta manager Jeremiah Simpson was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
Atlanta goes to 6-5.
