The Dollywood Partons and Bangor Lumberjacks played an exciting game.
Dollywood turned a good performance from starting pitcher Adam Begue into a 4-2 triumph over the Bangor Lumberjacks at Ballpark of Bangor. Jon Peterson claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. Tyler Wright collected his 1st save.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old left fielder Oscar de Leon. de Leon had a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Partons ahead, 4-2. For the game, de Leon had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Dollywood manager Adam Freeman commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
Bangor falls to 2-7.
