Bowsers Get Hard-Earned Win
The Columbus Bowsers turned back the London Werewolves, 7-6, at Werewolves Ballpark. Brian Cash, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Columbus reliever Andres Garcia picked up the win to move to 1-2. Ben Foster suffered the loss. The win gives the Bowsers a record of 3-4.

Columbus used the clutch hitting of Carlos Malabranca to snag the win. The center fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bowsers ahead, 7-6. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"There's so many different ways you can win a game," said winning manager Joe Mills.
