The Nashua Sweepers ushered in the 2024 season with a win versus the London Werewolves at Miller Park. The final score was 6-4. Shortstop Mike Sheets had a standout performance.

Nashua designated hitter Joe Pettit contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a splitter to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Sweepers ahead, 1-0.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said London manager Adrian Mercado.
