The Pueblo Heroes scored a convincing win at Long Beach Grounds, defeating the Long Beach Keys, 11-1. One of the hitting stars was 21-year old first baseman Dillon O'Neill who went 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 3 runs. Carl Geho picked up his 1st save of the season. Pueblo now has a record of 1-2.

Pueblo used the timely hitting of Nate Cobb to capture the win. The second baseman socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Heroes ahead, 5-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Long Beach manager Ron Kunkleman. "We got flat-out beat."
