Scott Leads Sweepers to Win
A 5-RBI performance from the 21-year old first baseman Chris Scott helped the Louisville Sweepers beat the Columbus Bowsers, 12-8. Miguel Perelsa got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 6 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 5. With the win, Louisville goes to 1-1.

With Louisville leading 8-7 in the top of the ninth, Scott batted against Columbus pitcher Rodolfo Hernandez. Scott hit a cutter to left for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Sweepers on top, 12-7.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Scott, "and then get after it again."
