The Fremont Ambassadors picked up a win at Ballpark of Fremont, knocking off the Grand Rapids Jet Hawks, 5-1. Starting pitcher Jose Villalpando was a big reason why. Villalpando, now 3-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The losing streak for Grand Rapids has now reached 5 games.

Fremont took a 5-1 lead on Ryan Dowdell's 6th double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Dowdell hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Grand Rapids pitcher Brian Wilson visibly frustrated.
