Ambassadors Get Past Grand Rapids, 4-3
The Fremont Ambassadors faced a tenacious opponent in Grand Rapids pitcher Eunice Bamberg, but still scratched out a win at Ballpark of Fremont by a final score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Bamberg went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Frank Cabrera in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Eddie Clickner took the loss. Fremont, at 75-64, holds down third place in the Northern A West Division.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the tenth when Andy Belot hit a run-scoring double off 24-year old left-handed pitcher Eddie Clickner to win the game for Fremont. The home crowd went wild.

"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Belot.
