Trolls Tag Flyers with 5-4 Loss
|
Though he had a terrific game, Jose Mora could not prevent his team, the Newark Flyers, from absorbing a loss. Tyler won the game, 5-4. Mora was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Duncan Kroon. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. He now owns a record of 4-3. Justin Pratt nailed down his 27th save.
Tyler took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Milt Sallee hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Trolls.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Newark manager Matt Conners said, following the tough loss.
After today's action, Tyler sits at 70-69, while Newark falls to 73-66.
