Loss Tarnishes Fine Performance by DiPiazza
|
Glace Bay got a terrific game from designated hitter Keith DiPiazza. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to San Antonio, 5-4. DiPiazza belted 2 home runs. With the win, San Antonio goes to 80-60, while the Miners fall to 72-68.
Pete Lemish cracked a home run off Dan Thomas in the top of the first. His 2-run blast put the Stallions on top, 2-0. In all, Lemish had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"Enjoyed this one," Lemish told the San Antonio Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
