The Deltaville Deltas beat the Cottage City Cannonballers, 8-3, at Rogers Centre. Brian Martin, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jim Unknown earned the save for Deltaville, his 1st. The Deltas go to 48-92 with the win.

Matt Poore had a big 2-run double for the Deltas in the bottom of the second inning. With Deltaville leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Masanori Kishimoto and swatted a double to right. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Deltas ahead, 3-0.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Martin told the Deltaville Bulletin.
