Red-Hot Devane Cools Off Santa Rosa
|
In a remarkable performance, St. Catharines Blue Jays starter Andy Devane beat the Santa Rosa Desperados, 5-0, in an impressive 2-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Blue Jays hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and no walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Santa Rosa manager Angel Cano said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
For the year, Devane has compiled a 2-2 record with a 3.03 ERA.
