Trolls Rally to Win, 3-2
|
The Tampa Capitals could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tom Moore into a win. Instead, the Tyler Trolls prevailed, 3-2, in 10 innings. Moore threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball. Tyler reliever Alex Compean picked up the win to move to 5-6. Keegan Flay suffered the loss. The Trolls improved their record to 71-68 by beating Tampa.
The Trolls got a clutch hit from shortstop Michael Cruz. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Trolls.
"Bottom line," said Tampa skipper Matt Kaczmarczyk, "we didn't play well enough to win."
