Slumping Capitals Lose Again, 5-2
|
The Glace Bay Miners got a good effort from starter Bobby Jones in defeating the Tampa Capitals at Capitals Ballpark. The final score was 5-2. Matt Westerman finished to wrap up his 18th save. The slumping Capitals have lost 11 straight.
Craig Carson helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Glace Bay a 1-0 lead.
"I know everybody in here is putting in the work," said Tampa manager Jayden Gamble. "It's just not paying off."
