Desperados Nudge Past Capitals, 6-5
|
Kevin Davis had a good game, but he could not keep the Tampa Capitals from falling, 6-5, to the Santa Rosa Desperados at Keelhaulers Ballpark. The Tampa third baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Larry Bute picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-0. Ademar Ramil was tagged with the loss. The victory gives Santa Rosa a record of 86-49.
Ron Brook was the walk-off hero for Santa Rosa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Desperados right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Brook.
