Ambassadors Lose By a Run at Tampa
Tampa registered a win at Capitals Ballpark by beating the Fremont Ambassadors, 6-5. Pitcher Alex Gonzalez was one reason why the Capitals triumphed. Gonzalez yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 5, and struck out 6. His record improves to 6-8. Gabe Thomas picked up the save, his 1st.

Justin Sinclair had a big run-scoring triple for the Capitals in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Tampa leading 4-2 and a runner on 3rd, he got a sinker from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Micah Brown and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Capitals ahead, 5-2.

Sinclair told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."

The 'W' lifts Tampa's record to 67-70.
