The St. Catharines Blue Jays took on the Deltaville Deltas at Rogers Centre.

The St. Catharines Blue Jays cut down the Deltaville Deltas by the score of 7-5, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Nick Makar. Makar slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Blue Jays. St. Catharines now sports a record of 72-65.

Makar contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for St. Catharines in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-0, Makar took a slider from Rod Montalvo and stroked the home run to right-center. His 15th home run of the season allowed the Blue Jays to leap in front, 3-2.

"We ground out the win," said Makar. "That's all that matters."
