Goff Slugs 2 Home Runs, Stallions Beat Rockets, 7-5
|
Andy Goff left his imprint on the 7-5 San Antonio win against the Huntsville Rockets. Goff went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Jon Dye, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-3. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The Stallions now have a record of 78-59 with the win over Huntsville.
Had Ryan Duden not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Duden hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Stallions.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said San Antonio manager Logan Greening.
