Rockets K-O Stallions, 3-0
|
Huntsville starter Jason McCoart pitched effectively against the San Antonio Stallions at Ballpark of Austin. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-0. Picking up the save was 20-year old left-handed pitcher Jimmy Lyles. The Rockets have a winning streak of 4 games.
The Rockets got a big at-bat from designated hitter Orlando Nunez. For the game, Nunez went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Huntsville a 3-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's about putting up zeros," said McCoart.
