Stallions Lose at Home, 2-1, to Huntsville
|
Mike Redmond brought his A-game to help Huntsville defeat the San Antonio Stallions, 2-1. Redmond, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up no walks. Joe Brackett earned his 16th save in 20 tries.
Huntsville used a timely hit from Josh James to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rockets ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
James was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Huntsville Observer, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
