Late Rally Earns Fremont 5-3 Win
Jose Lopez was instrumental in his team's 5-3 triumph over the Santa Rosa Desperados. The center fielder went 2 for 3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs for the Fremont Ambassadors. Matthew Walrod earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 5-0. Brian Joiner was credited with the save for Fremont, his 23rd of the season.

Had Lopez not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Lopez hit a 2-run triple. The Ambassadors took the lead, 5-3, and never looked back.
