Trolls Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Glace Bay Miners got a superb performance from pitcher Will Gardner, but the Tyler Trolls still won the game, 4-3. Gardner threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The Trolls now have a mark of 66-66.
Tyler took a 4-2 lead on Steve Nebeker's 21st double of the season. The bases-clearing double, which Nebeker hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Glace Bay pitcher Chris Williams visibly frustrated.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Nebeker.
