6-5 Loss Extends Tampa Skid
The Huntsville Rockets topped the Tampa Capitals, 6-5, at Ballpark of Austin. Huntsville third baseman Grant Murphy was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Eric Mohr, now 4-3, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Jimmy Lyles recorded his 23rd save for Huntsville.

Had Murphy not come through in the bottom of the eighth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Murphy hit a run-scoring single. The Rockets took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Murphy said.

With the win, Huntsville raised its record to 77-57.
