Big Day for Marin in 7-5 Jet Hawks Win
Grand Rapids defeated Kansas City, 7-5, in large part due to 22-year old left fielder Kyle Marin. Marin drove in 3 runs. The designated hitter had 3 doubles and 1 home run for the Jet Hawks. Josh Williams was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 4 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 5 strikeouts. Grand Rapids is 86-47 and Kansas City, with the loss, 56-77.

With Grand Rapids leading 5-3 in the top of the fifth, Marin hit a fastball from Mike Stone for a 2-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Jet Hawks ahead, 7-3.
