Newark registered a win at Ballpark of Austin by beating the Huntsville Rockets, 7-5. Pitcher Chris Schreurs was one reason why the Flyers triumphed. Cory Hobbs locked down his 3rd save. Newark, now 69-62, holds down 4th place in the Northern A East Division.

Newark used a well-timed hit by Eddie Bertetto to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 6-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Bertetto told the Newark News.
