Flyers Earn 6-5 Win Versus Rockets
The Newark Flyers overcame a good performance by Huntsville center fielder Rich Lewis to knock off Huntsville, 6-5, at Ballpark of Austin. Lewis was 2-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. The winner in relief was Cory Hobbs. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. Newark has won 3 straight, while Huntsville has lost 3 in a row.

Jared Dawson drew 1 walk for Newark. The 22-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the 11th. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Bohdan Kasatkin. It was his 4th RBI of the season.
