Tyler Pockets 3-2 Win Over St. Catharines
|
The Tyler Trolls eked out a 3-2 win versus the St. Catharines Blue Jays at Engineers Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Mark Galinski. He was terrific. In 6.1 innings, Galinski surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Dennis DeLong closed it out for Tyler, earning his 4th save.
Tyler used the hitting of Carlos Garcia to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Trolls on top, 3-0. For the game, Garcia had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We had a good game plan," Galinski said, "and we were able to execute it."
After today's action, Tyler sits at 65-66, while St. Catharines falls to 76-55.
