The Fremont Ambassadors took on the Huntsville Rockets at Ballpark of Austin.

Fremont first baseman Javy Villapando had a 4-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Huntsville Rockets, 5-3. Jon Caruso went 7 innings for Fremont to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs. He scattered 4 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record improves to 5-7. The save was credited to Mike Brandon, his 6th.

With Fremont leading 1-0 in the top of the fourth, Villapando hit a cutter from Jimmy Redmond for a 2-run home run. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Ambassadors ahead, 3-0.

"We did enough to win," said Villapando.

The victory puts Fremont at 53-78.
