Jon Caruso brought his A-game to help Fremont defeat the St. Catharines Blue Jays, 3-1. Fremont reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Cesar Escobedo absorbed the loss. Fremont, with the win, climbs to 37-94.

Fremont took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Mike Ross hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Ambassadors.

"I'm proud of the way our guys played today to come out with this win," Caruso told the Fremont Chronicle.
