Tyler wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jonathan Ramirez, falling to the Kansas City Dust Devils, 2-1. Ramirez threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Leo Fonseca earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The loss makes Tyler 68-61.

Kansas City needed the clutch hitting of Bob Zerhusen to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dust Devils on top, 2-1. For the game, Zerhusen had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
